He is considered one of the best in the history of the game but many are saying Hasek’s last minute in the NHL was played Wednesday night. If so, it was an amazing career – he was fun to watch and made some of the most amazing saves I have ever seen. In 1999 he put the Sabers on his back and carried them to the Stanley Cup Finals with some of the greatest goaltending the game has ever seen.
Although not to the extend of Patrick Roy, Hasek changed goaltending with his unorthodox methods. He was simply amazing from 1993-4 through last season winning six Vezinas (top goaltender) and 2 Harts (NHL MVP).
