Fleury is playing very well and the accolades are starting to come in. It was earlier this year the #1 draft pick from the 2003 Entry Draft had many people questioning his ability to play in the NHL (see – http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2007/10/19/marc-andre-fleury-rising-star-or-black-hole/ for one example – you’ll find many others by “googling” Fluery). With new pads and dedication, he is showing the world why he was taken #1 five years ago.

He may be the only goalie on the four remaining teams that would not win the Conn Symthe if his team wins the Cup, but, that in no way is a reflection on his performance. Any goalie who looks around their locker room as sees Makin, Crosby and Hossa will have a heck-of-a-time winning an individual award that those three are eligible for.

But, not sure a Conn Symthe is what MA Fleury thinks about while laying awake at night…
